Thanks to Bruce and Aman, I have my answer of how to stop my machine at work from speaking in a British accent in the DGS website. I'll try it first thing in the morning. Now I'm curious. When Language Detection is checked, what tells Jaws to read something like the website in question with a British accent. I find it hard to believe that Jaws analyzes the gramatical structure and says to itself, "Ah ha! this is British." So, what triggers the British accent?? Take care...
