Hi Joan,I have the Avast 5.0 security suite. It does most5 things automatically. If you route your JAWS cursor to your pc cursor, you can run a virus scan.
Avast does most things automatically, so you might want to check and see if there is another problem. I don't know where, but there is a way to contact Avast. Maybe you could get some advice from them.
If Avast does not work for you, there are some free virus software programs out there.

Hello!I recently had to upgrade to Avast 5 from 4.0 because the earlier version is not supported. This version seems inaccessible. Does anyone know a way around this. Also, it is not updating the virus database automatically, nor announcing the updates it does do. Would appreciate help. Thanks -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.comJFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfwAlternative archives located at: http://n2.nabble.com/JAWS-for-Windows-f2145279.htmlIf you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
