Debbie, that is correct. I no where you're coming from. I reformat a lot too. I really don't feel like bugging FS all the time. Just back those two files up on to a floppy or something handy. As long as you don't change anything on your computer, you'll be safe. Don't mess with the partition either. I think that'll mess things up.

Blake if you tell me what I want to hear, I will, well I don't know what,
smile, but I will be a very happy person.
When you say change anything physically, you mean like hardware or changing
the partition size or things like that?
But are you saying... I could copy those two files.
Reformat and reinstall windows.
Then put those files back on.
And I won't lose my keys?
Part of being a program junkie is that I get my system in a mess quite
frequently, ha ha. We have it down to a science, and I like to reformat
frequently. With this new ILM licensing, it seems even if you remove a key,
you don't "really" get it back.
So three times and you have to ask FS for more keys.
Please tell me you just saved me from myself and my need to install every
program I hear mentioned?
Debbie

If you aren't having anything changed physically to your computer, save the fsshell32.dll and jaws.cps from the program files\freedom scientific\ directory. Restore them when you get it back.

If you don't want to call them, there is a form you can submit.

Just make sure you have at least one activation left. Ask FS to reset if need be. Then when you reinstall JAWS or whatever, just authorize as usual.
