Re: Anti-virus software compatible with Jaws?

I get McAffee through my college and it works alright. Not perfect but it's alright with jaws and every version of windows I've tried it with so far. As for free ones, I'm not sure because a friend of mine and I went in to out stashes of old computers and found pretty much you get what you pay for in the antivirus game. Based on the results that time, we decided never to touch the free ones again. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara J Wagreich" <bjw@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: Anti-virus software compatible with Jaws?

Hi Listers:

I was using AVG 7.5 with windows 2000. AVG 7.5 has been replaced with AVG 8 and there are issues with AVG 8 and Windows 2000 so I'm looking for other anti-virus software that will work with Jaws 9 build 2169.

Has anyone tried avira?

what other software packages (paid or free) will work with windows 2000 and Jaws? Please include websites along with names of software packages.

thanks very much for your help!
