Actually, I was assuming your OE subject line was correct, and my comments relate to OE. I would have spared you that explanation if I'd realized. And the key combo is alt-F4 when JAWS stops speaking after I open the system tray. Again, I have no idea what it is closing.
Still, I do recommend disc clean to anyone experiencing sluggishness with JAWS 8, just in case.

I tried the Jaws dump and panicked when I couldn't find my work although eventually did find it. I've got to try it one of these days when I have nothing important going on.
