Did you try the list customization feature? I don?t' use Lotus but I think that's how its silenced in Outlook as Outlook has the word "message" in its MSAA info. So if list customization doesn?t work I'd suggest looking for where JAWS is picking up the MSAA info for the highlighted message and attacking the problem there. It'd be my guess the word is coming from the MSAA. -----Original Message----- From: jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Paul Magill Sent: Saturday, March 17, 2012 12:48 AM To: jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jawsscripts] Stopping annoying text in Lotus Notes Hi all, When arrowing up & down the list of messages in Lotus Notes, each message spoken is prefixed by the word "message". That prevents fast checking through lists of messages. I have been unable to find the source of that, to even begin to find a way to script it into silence. When the Jaws or invisible cursor is routed to PC, & the line read, the word message is not read, only the text of the message title & its source, so I gather that the word is not physically on the screen. I looked in the .JGF file, hoping it was a graphic that I could silence, but no luck. I could use the Dictionary manager to silence it, but the word "message" is too common, and I would miss it elsewhere in the program & text of messages. Any suggestions on where it may be? And secondly, is there a list, or sources of information for blind Lotus Notes users?
