You want to download the full JAWS build directly and run its installer, after
that you may run the "check for updates" and all should be well after that.

It was while we were downloading the latest version that it said The basic
Training needs a repair, and it couldn't download that section, so do I just
try again?

Mandy and others on the subject of repairing JAWS:
The best way to repair JAWS these days is to download the latest build of
JAWS version that you are authorised. For example if you know you are a
JAWS 13 user and you need to repair it the best thing to do is download the
most current build of JAWS. This serves two purposes:
1 It will repair the JAWS.
2 It will update if your build is earlier and fix various small issues
that the update addresses.
You can update current versions of JAWS by going to this page:

Hi all, I was downloading the latest updates this morning, I think it's
13.718 I think, and it offered me basic training and the download and also
open book but I don't have open book so ticked the other 2. When it was
downloaded, it said that I must re[pair my current basic training, where do
I find the repair in Jaws other than on the CD, or is that the only way to
repair?
