Hi Michael, When in OE, hit insert 6 to bring up your Outlook.jcf, config file. Under set options, go to the Speech and sounds manager... You will land on the default scheme. Tab to edit current scheme and hit enter Shift tab and right arrow once to Control type tab, tab to list view and press the letter R until it says `Read only' Use your up/down arrow to select ignore Tab to Ok, saving your changes on the way out, where it will now tell you your scheme is classic modified. I've done this to my default config file, but it's your choice. Subject: [jaws-uk] Words spoken in Outlook Express. Hi everyone, Can someone help please? I have Jaws 7.0 and X P Home. When in O E., before the subject line is read, prior to reading the message, Jaws says Read Only Edit before the name of each subject line, is this new in Jaws 7.0? and if so, can this be switched off? and sometimes Jaws also says To not found, and Subject not found, before the message is read, can this also be switched off? as i find these spoken words most irritating when they are repeated before each message in O E.? I had Jaws 4.51 before i installed Jaws 7.0, and did not have this problem then? Is this something that comes with Jaws 7.0 that i will just have to put up with? or can it be switched off? and if so, how do i do it? Many thanks, Michael Brown.=20 ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=3Dunsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=3Dfaq] ** or send a message, to=20 ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
