Hi Amie, a friend of mine tells me Toshibas are good. I've got a
Samsung that's fine too.

You can get shed loads of memory on a laptop for next to nothing now.

Look at how much storage you're using at the minute on your old
machine and ask how much more you reckon you'd need. With jaws 10, you
won't be on windows 8 so I'd think about whether you can get something
that's not got win 8 on it unless you want to learn a new system.

It's really  things like playing video games that's likely to strain
any machine and modern laptops will cope with anything most of us are
likely to do.
