Sharon,

It is perfectly OK to put J-Say on both your desktop and laptop computers.
I've never tried importing voice profiles from one computer to another
though. J-Say has made the training up of a voice profile so easy that I
just create a new one on each machine. If you create a lot of customized
commands there is a way to copy them from one computer to another. If
you're just getting started with J-Say, though, I don't suspect you've done
much of this thing yet.

BTW: When you download the 1177 build of JAWS from the T&T Consultancy page
you don't need to provide anything. As it's just another build of a version
that you already own you don't need serial numbers or authorization numbers.

Sue

Subject: [j-say list] J-Say working with later builds than 8.01177 JAWS
releases still using XP

Hello all,

I apologize for not having been accurate enough and my question regarding
J-Say and how soon it would be compatible with later builds of JAWS.

As others have asked and Sina summarized beautifully, the question is not
about J-Say working with Vista but rather some of the improvements later
builds of JAWS have created that are JAWS fixes. As Sina indicated and Own
intonated, my question is referring to a hope for J-Say to be able to work
with the later builds of JAWS 8.0 that have some of the JAWS issues
themselves fixed. Hope this is clearer.I am hoping J-Say will be more
compatible with the later builds of JAWS for the sake of JAWS fixes not
really because i expect J-Say to work with the latest windows release or
anything.

Also I did use the link from the T and T consultancies web site andwhat I
assume was the same link available through Next Generation. I never came to
a prompt that allowed me to enter in the serial number and authorization
number. I'll get that sorted out next week.

Another pressing question, can anyone tell me if the J-Say I purchase
(nearly a thousand dollars Canadian) can be loaded on my lap top and my
desk top both and how I would address profiles being updated. Is there some
way to merge the updates or how does this work?

Many thanks for any response.

Sorry for any confusions.

Sharon B.
