Hi Davefor the record.. the module of interest is DOSFS .. SCSIFS purely provides a filecore based filing system, and if the image found isn't filecore it is 'offered around' to other modules and DOSFS claims it. it then uses, in effect, the scsifs drivers for block/sector access.

I've noticed two errors today in directory entries generated by SCSIFS: 1) The .. entry has a cluster number of 0. This means it doesn't link back to its parent - which is the sole purpose of the dotdot entry.Let me apologise and put the record straight - there is no such bug. I was only looking at subdirectories of the root directory. Their dotdot entries correctly point to a cluster number of "0" since there isn't a cluster number associated with the root directory. Subdirectories of lower level directories have correct cluster numbers. I hope I didn't cause any upset. BTW I also apologise if the threading of this message is wrong - I have deleted my copy of my own posting, so I'm "borrowing" from Martin's response.
