Hi Mark,

 

The packet filter does not contain the proper neuronal DNA sequences to
influence the mind of the dirtbag who's scanning you. It typically
requies something like a percussion device moving a great velocity to
get through the thick skulls of those people ;-)

 

Packet filters don't stop port scans. If you don't want them, tell your
ISP to block them at the fat end of the pipe.

        Interesting thing happened today. After creating a packet filter
to block an IP, two days ago, he port scanned me again this morning. Can
you explain this? Thanks.
