Well, at least you've got the island and the mainland limiting wind sheer...
Try Walker's Cay... Man, a storm can brew up in minutes down there... I was
sailing a 37 Pierson outta there and got hit by lightning- took out the
satnav, the loran, and the damn stereo!  Talk about an open port!
