Only ISA has controls over ports. So your mail is going through ISA.

Why are you still running ISA 2000? The upgrade to ISA 2004 is FREE for
SBS2003 Premium owners.

There must be a problem that you're trying to fix. It would be better if
you told us what it was. What's happening with your outbound mail that
you don't like?

Subject: [isalist] SBS2k3+Exch2k3+ISA2000 - outbound SMTP mails

http://www.ISAserver.org

I have sbs2003 premium over which i have both Exch2003 + ISA 2000

[external NIC] ISA2000 FP1+sp2 and

Exch2003 [Internal NIC] .

i know there is some article or doc that talks bout how to make
OUTBOUND mails go from Exch[internal nic] to ISA2000[ext NIC] but dunno
where to find it.

as of now wats happening is that since port25 is used by both...somehow
mails go from Exch directly to outer domains without passing through
ISA.

PLS TELL ME HOW TO MAKE OUTBOUND MAILS GO THROUGH FIRST EXCH and then
ISA and then to outer world.

TIA

Subject: [isalist] Microsoft releases ISA Server 2004 Best
Practices Analyzer Tool

        http://www.ISAserver.org

The ISA Server Best Practices Analyzer is a diagnostic tool that
automatically performs specific tests on configuration data collected on
the local ISA Server 2004 computer from the ISA Server hierarchy of
administration COM objects, Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
classes, the system registry, files on disk, and the Domain Name System
(DNS) settings.

The resulting report details critical configuration issues,
potential problems, and information about the local computer. By
following the recommendations of the tool, administrators can achieve
greater performance, scalability, reliability, and uptime.
