Hello, I have a couple of ISA servers running in "cache mode" (due to not having 2 NIC, one facing external and the other facing internal). I'm using "web publishing" to do redirect the request to an internal web server, my destination set is set to "all destination". When I typed in my ISA server IP address (External representation at the DMZ firewall), I get "can not find server or DNS". What am I missing? Please help! :) Thanks, Sunnie -----Original Message----- From: Thomas W Shinder [mailto:tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, May 18, 2004 8:30 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: NIC requirements for ISA Server 2000 Application Layer Filtering Web Proxy in the Perimeter Network http://www.ISAserver.org Hi Sunnie, Thanks! I'm making good use of your book "Configuring ISA server 2000" building firewalls for windows 2000. The interface with the default gateway assigned will be the de facto external interface. Currently the ISA is being in use for WEB Proxy (Cache), but going forward, the ISA will be used for web publishing and such. So I have installed ISA in "intergrated mode", for that specific. That is why I'm thinking I need external facing NIC on our ISA servers. You must have ISA in firewall or integrated mode to have an external facing NIC. In addition, you must also have a way for an ISA in cache-only mode to retrieve content on behalf of your clients, be it directly from the source or via an upstream server or server chain. -Shawn ----- Shawn R. Currently we only have NIC facing internal net. Your advice/help is greatly appriciated.
