Hello Jim,

The ISA server is configured auto configuration settings, DHCP option 252 and a DNS name used wpad.xxx.com. The FW client is using the wpad.xxx.com to get the configuration updates.

thank you & regards

How is the ISA referenced in the FW client settings; IP or name? What is the internal name resolution method; DNS, WINS, NB broadcast?

Hello all,

Let me explain further on this problem, on the system tray (Firewall
Client)I have intermittent message popup and says that the server is down.
But I'm still able to the ISA server to access the Internet.

I even try to use the CHKWSP32 utility, same messages.I'm not really good
at W2K or windows technologies,so I'm not sure what I can check to verify
on this problem.

Thank you and regards.
