Richard, So how have you gone about solving this problem? Surely, I don't have to close it manually every time....?! I had to manually close it. I know this may not sound like much help, but perhaps it may be something to look into? -----Original Message----- From: Phillips, Colin M [mailto:colin@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 14 January 2002 11:47 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Dial Up Problem + ISA http://www.ISAserver.org Hello I have an ISA Server running in Integrated mode. On the same server we also use Exchange 2000 to handle e-mail. I use a dial up connection over ISDN for web access via ISA and also for e-mail send and retrieval. The problem is as follows: When the Exchange Server dials out to send and retrieve e-mail, it does this fine. The line stays connected and then something is sending and receiving data continuously. I managed to stop it (i.e. disconnecting the line) by stopping the Web proxy service. I thought it may have been something to do with caching in ISA Server, so I disabled ALL caching... but the problem is still there. Obviously, I need to cure this problem as my client is receiving large phone bills...! Below is a snippet from the logs of what I believe is causing the problem: #Software: Microsoft(R) Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000 #Version: 1.0 #Date: 2002-01-12 15:10:24 #Fields: c-ip cs-username c-agent date time s-computername cs-referred r-host r-ip r-port time-taken cs-bytes sc-bytes cs-protocol s-operation cs-uri s-object-source sc-status 192.168.16.2 anonymous wininet 2002-01-12 15:10:24 SERVER - - - - 10 134 - - GET http://.com/ - 12202 Any help MOST GREATFULLY received...
