Boys boys boys.. Let me jump in for a bit
I too have been a member of the list for years. I too enjoy its
occasional OT banter. Its technical guidance has rare parallels in this
game, some of the guys here really know their stuff and we are fortunate
to have such I strong group *coJIMugh*..
However Steve is right, this is not a hold your hand list, do not expect
to be met with open arms and a box of chocolates when you ask for help
regarding basic problems that have been covered in depth and Microsoft
and others have provided a "plethora" of documentation for. This is not
a list for the lazy. If you need to go to tek-tips.com forums before
hand then go, if you need to exhaust google then do so (hint

Whilst I do not own the list and don't claim to hold any sway whatsoever
I respect the vast majority of people on it and especially those who I
have formed off-list friendships with. MJ, I agree there is a degree of
respect needed on the list and there is. Thor was the only one who had
the guts to say what he was feeling and im sure his world has not ended
because of the criticism he may cop. We do however all get frustrated at
people who, don't perform basic steps, and who arent able to provide the
necessary information for us to help them. We do all work and have to
deal with our own issues and sometimes mailing lists are a wonderful way
to take out frustration. I have been guilty of it too. However, some of
us take time out of our weekend and home life to also lend a hand to
others so that we may all learn and be one big happy family. I guess the
bottom line is you cant please everybody all the time..

Why do you have shorten your favorite words (WTF), instead type them as
they are, and I promise you won't have any problems because this the
main problem of this list.
1. I have a Windows 2000 Server with ISA 2004 installed. I have.
2. Setup VPN for outside clients. However when they connect to.
3. The VPN, there are no longer able to access shared resources.
4. On the domain. They are able to if you go START, RUN.
5. \\192.168.X.X\ShareExample it prompts for the network.
6. Password and then allows access. However if this drive was.
What does line 5 tell?
Also if you're using logon scripts to map network drive, then at the
command prompt run net use and see what's mapped?
Some times you find mapped drives without letters and those need to be
deleted for mapped network drives to work.
I am so sorry that you have to deal with your self for the rest of you
life :(

"rubbish" post? We're asking the guy how he connects to the VPN.
The caveats of user context and logon method are absolutely valid
questions for the people who are trying to help to ask.
You're the one who said it was a name resolution problem- I think we
should hear that from the OP, don't you? You may be causing
misinformation without knowing it.
I'm sorry if this bores you, but we're still trying to find out what the
real problem is. If that is "high school" to you, then I think that's
something you have to deal with. I'm just trying to help.
Regarding respect, I don't think it is appropriate for you to bust on
the questions I'm asking when I'm taking time out of my Sunday to help
other people, particularly in the absence of any supportive posts from
you.
