Hello All,

I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend like we are at IGDB.

We would like to congratulate our four clients who qualified with their guide
dogs today. Eoin Slattery, Guide Dog Mobility Instructor, will be visiting them
over the nxt few weeks for aftercare.

Our next Guide Dog Mobility class will commence May 29th with PJ Hogan as the
Instructor and Nathalie Woods as Instructor Apprentice.

Our next Orientation and Mobility class with Rehabilitation Worker, Megg
Marchbank, is commencing May 15th.

Today we were visited by a small group of visually impaired people from Offaly.
They were accompanied by an NCBI Community Resource Worker. They came to view
the centre and to learn about our services. It was lovely to meet them.

Volunteers are collecting for IGDB today as part of our SHADES campaign on
Gaftton Street and O' Connell Street in Dublin.

Its bedlam here at the centre as our SHADES campaign is finishing up today. We
are going out with a bang this afternoon as the centre is open to the public.
We are currently thronged with visitors.

Our administration staff are busy sending out over 400 sets of reports in
perparation for ourAGM May 27th.

On another note, IGDB is sad to be saying farewell to Róisín Campbell
(Fundraising Branch Manager) as she is leaving us today. She will be sorely
missed by us all at the centre. We wish her all the best with her new job.

Have a great weekend,

Slán,

Léan Kennedy,

Access and Education Officer,

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
