Hello. Thanks for your message. Obviously the tutorial aspect of this is in many way separate from infotech although occasionally we can produce a tutorial style item. Thanks for your kind words, I don't want to repete myself here but it is great when people send appreciative words to us, it certainly encourages us along the way, not that Brian and I need much encouragement. Anyway I'm keeping all these comments and will in the early part of the new year discuss in detail with Brian to ensure the magazine represents what you its listeners want to hear. -----Original Message----- From: infotech-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:infotech-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Luis Eduardo Peña Sent: 19 December 2009 16:28 To: infotech@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [infotech] Re: The November December issue Hi Terri and Brian, First, Let me take this opportunity to congratulate you and thank you for the excellent magazine. Regarding the future of Infotech, I would like to see more tutorials devoted to the use of popular applications. I found very useful the tutorial on Office 2007. For example, it would be nice to have a tutorial or several minitutorials on the use of scripting for Jaws. In my opinion this is a neglected area of Freedom Scientific and the only thing they have don in this respect is to make a manual available. Today, scripting is almost entirely the domain of the technologically sabby, but not that of the average user of Jaws. And having some knowledge in the usescripting would make our lives much easyer. To my knowledge, besides the FS manual, there are no tutorials available on this topic. Another possibility is that Brian would develop a tutorial for Jaws scripting, similar to that excellent tutorial that you developed several years ago about using Word. That was a great help! Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you ejnjoy the magazine as it is, certainly the fffot infolved in producing the content cannot be understated and this year that alongside everything else Brian and I have been doing has at times being a challenge. I hope other tooo are happy with the content and we await with interest people feedback regarding the future direction of the magazine. -----Original Message----- From: infotech-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:infotech-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pranav Lal Sent: 19 December 2009 08:31 To: infotech@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [infotech] The November December issue Hi Terry, Brian and all, I really enjoyed the articles on Internet broadcasting. I have been asking for this for some time. The audio editing demonstration was also very handy and is something I can use directly. I did not realize that to move forward in audio terms, I had to play tracks. I kept trying to use the control keys and the left and right arrows to select parts of tracks. Also, I am going to be able to better picture what is happening in the background while listening to the legend! As regards the frequency of Infotech, I would not look at it as a mathematical relationship as in 35 pounds for 12 months. Infotech has its own style of reviewing and we do get much more content than what we have paid for. Take the Office 2007 addition, which is one of my favorites. Also, would a month-to-month addition place additional strain on T&T staff? Yes, it is a product that they are producing but I would have a fewer number of issues but have the greater depth of the reviews and would like to leave the staff free for working on other products such as J-Say and J-Tools. Of course, once T&T gets more staff, we could look at increasing the frequency. I am as anxious for the next issue as anyone else.
