The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities, in collaboration with the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Long Island Bombers and the New Jersey Lightning cordially invite you to New York City Hear the Ball. New York City Hear the Ball will showcase The Long Island Bombers and the New Jersey Lightning, two local baseball teams with vision disabilities. The game of beep baseball allows those with vision disabilities the opportunity to interact socially while providing an excellent opportunity for physical activity. Beep Baseball is an adapted version of our national pastime, and with the beep of a ball and buzz of a base it enables athletes with vision disabilities from the United States and Taiwan to enjoy team competition. All are welcome. At NYC Hear the Ball Spectators will witness athleticindividuals who conquer their challenges and rely on the abilities that liewithin themselves.
