Thanks to all of you who tested.
I think I have worked out that TWO separate problems seem to be at
play.
(1) I put the large jpeg through !Jclean. I have no idea what it
cleaned, but the resulting file is 1267K instead of 1277K.
(The photo was from my son's camera, stored in Picasa on my XP
laptop, exported from there at 2400 pixels wide to RiscOS. It loaded
without problem into various apps. At one stage I loaded it into
DPscan and saved it out to see if that would help -- the filesize
decreased from 1578K to 1277K. But still had the strange print
behaviour described in previous messages.)
(2) Something in !Printers (version 1.83 on this ArmX6, Ro 5.23). If I
quit !Printers and then reload it, so that this job is the first thing
it does, Impression successfully prints the booklet complete with the
full-page jpeg on page 16.
It fails unless this is the first print job after loading !Printers.
Alan, which version of !Printers are you using?
