suceeded in connecting
to internet.
I followed the following steps to configure my
WA1003A *Huawei modem*.
1. I have connected my modem to my laptop with the
ethernet cable, and
switched on the modem and my laptop.
2. And from my laptop, as a root user, I executed
the following command,
2.a, /sbin/ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2 up
2.b, /sbin/route add default gw 192.168.1.1
3.And if i do ping my to my modem 192.168.1.1 , it
respond.
4. In the browser, I have viewed the modem index,
http://192.168.1.1 and
login as admin, admin, and then in the PV0, I have
configured with my
dataone login and password.
5. And do the ping test to modem ( it works fine ).
6. And then do the modem test, it fails. And ping to
outside world not
responded.
Can any one clarify me what am i doing wrong. ? My
intension is to
configure my modem in such a way to work wiith my
linux in wi-fi.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
