I try to rewrite my mail:
1.In that computer lab no Server available.So I may not able to do any
LDAP or NFS.I do not like to use normal computer as a server since that
it increases chances of data loss when that system is down.
And I wish to have all the computers to be synced with same data.So
making data loss virtually impossible(I may be wrong).
My current solution is: A cron process that executes a script like
this.
For every execution it finds system UP with smaller X in ip.
(192.168.1.X).It starts bi-syncing with it using unison.
to be synced are /home ,/etc/passwd,/etc/shadow etc..(update)
EverySystem should be configured with openssh-with sharedkey based
authentication.
2. In CS labs people wont allow to use USBDrives.But using CD,CD-RW is
not way of eco-friendly.So to allow students to use pendrive.With
restrictions:
1.They are allowed to copy their labworks to usbdrive for
printing.2.They should not copy anything from usb to home folder.
I do not have any solution for this.
3.For example if I have configured a user's privelages and right.How to
create another user, with same configuration without much work.
I do not have any solution either for this.
