Quite interesting when patti(?????) becomes kiraamam (???????) in tamizh;
then why not village (????????)?

As for as I feel, if there are certain words that are already there (or that
can be derived directly) to find a place in Tamizh lets use them. provided
that didn't bring any amusement or ambiguity;  one such example - device
driver may not be word by word translated to "?????/???????? ???????? ?" .
but some thing that gives more meaning to the context. if there is no words
already there for this term then we could say ???????????? than using the
same term as "?????? ???????"
 By the way is there any other term for the above in tamizh.

(????), kiraamam (???????) which were in common practice are in danger of
becoming street, town and city..
