Thanks for all your inputs.
I finally tried Mepis and the remastering was simple. But, I think I did a
mistake ;(. The Mepis Installer which I wanted to modify according to my
needs is not open source. One needs to ask the author/mepis creator -
Mr.Warren for re-using it.grrrrr.....Mepis Installer is too good and so
simple, but I have no idea why it is been kept closed.
I think I would next shift to PCLinuxOS or Knoppix. The reason why am not
going to SLAX is due to the package management. I am looking to adopt
Debian. If I choose a RPM distro (PCLOS),i would put smart in that
eventhough apt-get is available :)
