The printer what you have is a non postscript printer so u have to
set up ghostscript in openoffice printer configuration. In
properties window of openoffice printer administration use the
following command
/usr/bin/gs -q -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=epson -sOutputFile=\|lpr -
mine is also a Dotmatrix printer i have used this and works fine
for me.
