Hello,
There are few steps to solve your problem,
1. go to the directory /usr/share/cups/model & copy epson24.ppd.gz or
epson9.ppd.gz (according to 9pin or 24 pin) to home directory. Untar &
keep ready the ppd file
2. with root permission, run spadmin file in openoffice directory, add
new printer , import the
previously raedy ppd file, then pipe to your cups dotmatrix printer with command
lpr -P tvs (if you have named tvs as your printer in cups cofiguartion
