I sell network appliances running open source software
However I am told that companies need certified appliances for surviving
audits.
Not necessarily. But when you are a startup it helps to have a
certification.
since you are trying to sell network related appliances , Certifications
like NEBS might be looked after , but these are very costly. u will be
much better doing simple compatibility matrices.
