because the foobar company which recruits the students has got
nothing to do with FOSS, obviously he/she will loose interest .Most
of job related thread appearing in this mailing list are focusing on
experienced guys , this shows that you are not going opportunity to
newbies so don't raise this statement again :P
I disagree, experience is not just time put in foobar company. A truly
motivated person would keep learning open source on his/her own time
and raise the bar of his/her knowledge. Many open source contributors
have regular jobs. This is also experience and I would definitely
consider such a person for job openings. In fact, I have recruited
persons who exhibited a fairly good understanding of Linux even though
they did not have any degree or experience.
