First of all, let us get the terminology correct. Solaris is NOT a Unix clone.

developers will be switching to windows development kind of thing???
Please dont give the suggesstions as "they will not release the code!"
In  that case whats going to the future of linux OS????

IMO, it is going to be a question of momentum. Linux has generated so
much of it that MS might not be able to catch up. Further, opening
their code will open up all the hidden security bugs and sloppy code
that Windows is rumoured to contain that it will be a disaster for MS.
