You never ask support questions on a developers'
mailing list.
For any project, there are usually two mailing lists
(in general).
A users' mailing list and a developers' mailing list.
All discussions on development, submission of patches
goes into the developers' mailing list.
You should use the users' mailing list for asking
questions how to use feature X or Y with the software
or for general use of the software.
