I totally agree. There are more things to do than
worry about cost, after all, we strongly believe in
"free as in freedom and not free beer" :).
Members who install GNU/Linux can put their
installation documentation in the wiki. Or, if you
have a link where you already have documented the
installation, you can provide the link. It can also
include the hardware that one has used, which distro,
which components one has got working, which ones are
still being tested etc.
The idea is that new members/members who want to try
out new stuff (hardware/software) can read through
existing documentation and check for hardware
compatibility list (if they find any issues) before
buying hardware from Ritchie street or from any other
dealer.
Of course, we can also add other stuff in our wiki to
provide more info to end users.
