Fedora 9 is community version and the latest one, Red Hat 9 is very very
old. Also by Red Hat, do you mean Red Hat Enterprise Linux? If yes then its
commercial version with no free support. Go for Fedora 9, though it has some
issues with network manager. You may try Mandriva which is also rpm based
and very popular distro.
