Dude, 2.6 is very stable and since FC3 already has
2.6, you already have userland utilities working.
oh sure... it's quite stable.. i am a contented user of 2.6.14-archck1 :)
i was talking of taking a system with 2.4 userland stuff and upgrading
the kernel alone to 2.6...
