Hello,
This has lost making sense to me. i was advising a simple statistical
experiment to get an estimate of non-tech users preference of a win os over
linux or vice versa.
In a statistical experiment to find the average height of men and women of
different age groups, should i be asking myself the following questions
1. am i short?
2. when did i become tall? if so, how?
I think these questions are certainly not in the right direction in the context
of what i am referring to.
Sarad.

You are a tech. user. A fair experiment would be to pick a sample
of non-tech users and introduce them to both linux and windows and
see what they prefer to use.
I think we are talking two different things here. i am referring<snipped>
to the non-tech community using computers, ...
you seem to be referring to the tech community.
