If you're on the Huawei WA1003A router, then yes I too have
experienced such a hardware problem, the DNS server on 192.168.1.1
does not work very well, I have had to modify /etc/resolv.conf and
change the DNS servers to some server such as these from OpenDNS:
nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.67.220.220
(Note: If you can "ping 66.249.89.104" then I am wrong, and the
problem is something else)
