Hi David, That does refresh them, but gives me the same results...the pads aren't voided. To refresh a single dynamic shape: "Shape" -> "Select Shape or Void" (or use "Shape Select" icon) , LMB on shape to be refreshed then RMB -> Select "Defer Dynamic Fill" from Pop-up -> RMB -> Select "Done" from pop-up. Hi, Thanks, but same results... I also read the file back into 15.2, and same thing. I DBDoctor'd, same thing... I'll check out the document you reference. Hi Austin, If your using 15.7 try the following: In your Global Shape Parameters form set the "Thru pin" DRC Oversize value to 0.01. Then Update to Smooth. *or* ix 0 the shape to regenerate it. Hi Dennis, I have done all three, to no avail. I'm off maintenance, so I don't believe I can report this to them, unfortunately. Hi Austin, I see you found one of t he weak points in Cadence ? and a pain in the butt. Cadence has always had problems with shapes. Sometimes going to smooth doesn?t even work to update the shape, when you need to update DRC before performing a smooth. 1.. Go to Tools/Update DRC 2.. Go To Setup/Drawing Options/Status/ pick smooth box ? pick update to Smooth then OK ? see if that fixes it, if that doesn?t fix it go to # 3. 3.. Are you showing us a negative plane? If so go to Setup/Drawing Options/Display/ and tu rn on filled pads, and see if that fixes it. Also report this to Cadence ? the more they hear about plane issues they might give the planes more attention.
