It is probably easier to fix this for all cases than fixing it just 
for Draw export. At the moment, only screen rendering gets the 
rectangle correct, printing and exporting only renders the background 
inside the actual column boundary. At a guess, this has been done 
deliberately at some stage to overcome some printing/export problem.
