Yes, I can see this. This is not related to PS or PDF export, but to printing in general. The same happens when you print to a sprite. Clearly, you should get the same result when printing as you see on the screen, so this is a bug. Even though your approach is a bit non-standard, there is no reason why printing should differ from on screen display, otherwise this is not WYSIWYG.
