[icon-users] CTRL-C, CTRL-V annoyance

Selecting some text in an EasiWriter document and then CTRL-C saves
it to the clipboard but pasting into another part of the document always
pastes onto a new line. I've been trying to eliminate possible clashes
with other software but no luck so far. I've eliminated... SE 4.69a6,
QuickFiler 2.22, IconClip 0.15, KeyMapper 0.01. Is there anything else I
can try?
