I think you hit it right on the head. I thought about that too,
and when I did I turned off automatic update and then things seemed
to work fine.

Thanks for looking into this. It was making me crazy for awhile.

I followed your steps and it worked for me, so I'm either doing
something differently than you or you are running into a bug where
you are trying to update playlists while the media player catalog is
being updated. Currently there is a bug that won't allow changes to
playlists while the media player catalog is being updated. So wait
for the message 'Music Catalog Updated' and then try to add to the
second playlists. If this doesn't fix the problem, send a problem
report after the problem has occurred. Also if you could let me
know if waiting for the Music Catalog Updated message works for
you.

Thanks,
Mike

I am having a problem with the audio player and creating a
playlist.
Here are the details as they stand at this point...

1. Created a playlist and all went fine except that it appears
that individual files can not be selected and added to the list;
only addition of folders.

The first playlist contained 216 files.

2. Created a second playlist, but when I attempt to add a folder
to the playlist I get as far as pressing the "OK" button to add
the
folder and the unit refuses to accept the press of the "OK" button.

At that point one of two things usually happen. 1. The unit
freezes
to a point that the only way out is to go back to the applications
menu, go to task manager, and kill the audio player. Or,
sometimes
I am able to press the cancel button and cancel out of adding the
folder to the playlist. At this point I have not been able to add
any folders to the second playlist even though I have attempted to
add at least 5 or 6 different folders.
