Hi,

The reply from Lance Thomson to Arpad's email bounced so I'm reposting it.

Best regards,
Alain Vachoux

Yes, I did see it and my first thought was not a polite one :-) But
upon reading the article, they refer to the upcoming revision of
1364-2005. The IP protection scheme proposed for 1364 and 1076 and,
apparently, Synplicity have a common heritage. In fact, the 1076
proposal is a proper subset of the 1364 proposal. (1076 chose to subset
it to create strong security protocols.)

So, I think Synplicity is actually in the same ballpark and one might
consider them to be an early adopter of the proposed standards. It
would be a good question for them to address.

Has anyone seen this article?

I wonder how this fits into the picture. I would
hate to see competing standards because it will turn
everything into tool dependent, and non-interchangeable
again...
