When dealing with tons of units, for example in Craig Brett’s star wars
missions, which don’t have unique names, and are all of the same type, it gets
kind of hard sometimes to figure out which units can move during the turn. Back
in the day there was the u key which listed units that had AP left and how many
AP they had left. With the new points system this won’t work that simply of
course. I want a command like like shift u, that ould list units that had
points you specify. In the points files you could have a flag like
allows_actions that you could set for each point that you wanted the game to
check. Any units having any amount of any of the points with the allows_actions
flag would be listed along with how many points it had.

A similar map overview command that as depricated was the t command, which
listed squares containing terrain. Of course, for atmosphere there are a lot of
unnecessary terrains to be listed, which is why many people didn’t bother using
the command. Again, a flag in the terrain files could quickly circumvent this
issue. If you put a flag, like special, in each terrain file you wanted listed,
you could narrow it down very simply. Like in my tomb robber series I’d put the
special flag on the treasure squares in each map and also on the bloody ground
in the vampire level, but not on the crypt or wall squares.

You also got rid of F and E for listing all friendly and enemy units. It would
be cool to have those back, except switch the display to a menu with each
friend/enemy as an option. If you press enter on he option, you are moved to
the friend/enemy selected so that you could check him or her out or perform
actions. Also the f4 key would be available in the menu to get info about the
selected unit, as if you had focussed it and pressed f4 on it. Just to make
things easier.
None of these requests are urgent, but it would be cool to put them in, and at
least, the first 2don’t seem too hard, and the third doesn’t look too
monumental either. At least not like multiplayer.
