By the way, just in case you don’t know that:
You can use 'i3 <command>' just like 'i3-msg <command>'. So, executing 'i3
border none' will work just fine :). I think typing i3 in front of a command
which should go to i3 does not require any more integration (at least for now).
There also is i3-input, which can be used to send IPC commands to i3. It hasn’t
seen much love, though, so it can be improved in various ways.
