I haven't ran windows in over 2 years and it still happens to me. The scam is just that they get an email address from somewhere and send out emails saying they are from that person. If you look at the headers the From: and Reply To: fields will have Jims name. The original Received from: header won't even have an IP address local to the area. If you use Thunderbird you can highlight the email and choose: View -> Message Source to see all the headers. The Recieved: is usually interesting but many virus scanners put a X-something header in also. Eric Penne Here are the headers that are in most of my emails from this list.
