I purchased a "Kill-a-Watt" meter and tried it out on my laptop.
Over a time period of 6.50 hours the laptop consumed 0.41 Kwh.
That's 1.51 kwh if left on for 24 hours, and 45.42 kwh per month, which
would cost $2.72/month, and over a year would burn 273 lbs of coal.
