Isn't that the period we have BeGeistert on in europe usually ?
Maybe we could arrange for both at the same time and do video conferencing :)
Sounds like a good idea. I'd really love to attend a BG at some point and this might be the year when I'm flexible enough to be able to make it.
I think the BG-style hackfest is more appropriate for the people we're interested in attracting than a sharp-suited BGA delivering a slick presentation (more suited to attracting commercial orgnisations to develop for Haiku rather than interested volunteers to develop the OS itself) but a few more formal presentations can probably only be a good thing.
