No, you can "jam haiku.hpkg" and then "pkgman install path/to/built/haiku.hpkg".

problem 1: nothing provides lib:libfreetype>=6.12.3 needed by haiku-r1~alpha4_pm_hrev50163-1

git pull --tags git://git.haiku-os.org/haiku

You will need to do this any time you pull again from Github.

I always clone from Github because it is MUCH faster, then I pull the tags. I created a simple script to that for me as well.
