Hi,

Unbelievable. Even more so because none of your examples were "shut down". By whom anyway? It seems you were unable to follow the discussion(s).

This is Axel & Co's little playground, and they have expressed
little interest in getting Haiku out to a broader public ("if X happens I will
no longer work on Haiku"). So let the kids play.

It is the playground of whoever contributes more than demands and makes a minimum effort to understand what other are saying in case things need to be discussed. But you are the type of person who cannot participate in a normal discussion in which arguments are exchanged and consensus is formed by reason. You have made this pretty obvious at least to me. On top of that, you expect others to do what you think is best. Classic.

If a BeOS derivative wasn't already obscure enough, a fork would be long
overdue...

Yes, too late for you to go away and fork the project. At least its not too late to just go away. You can always do that much.
